This is my writing based on the ‘Toad in the hole’ example
Apple crumble special
Sometimes on a Sunday afternoon,after dinner mum would pick the biggest apples from the tree and ripest blackberry’s from the fridge.Then she would start making her special desert.
These always started with her cooking the apples until they were soft and sweet. Then mixed in with the berries she puts it in a fancy dish with a sugary crumbly mixture on top to go in the oven.Then she would take it out again when the top turned brown.
“Apple crumble special,” Mum called “Come and get it.”
